Charles “Chicky” Reeves , is the owner and CVO (Chief Visionary Officer) of Sublime Studios.  The studio is a culmination of his talents and extensive experience—as producer and recording, mixing and mastering engineer—at the forefront of the New York City and Austin, Texas music scenes.

Chief Engineer of Manhattan Center Studios in NYC, (aka, the home of Timbaland), Chicky mixed such legendary greats as Ray Charles, Tito Puente, Johnny Cash, and Radiohead—as well as MTV’s Live at the Ten Spot, VH1 Storytellers, Boyz II Men, Deee-Lite, 247Spys, and the like.  At the same time, Chicky ran his own thriving recording studio from the famous New Yorker Hotel. His beats and style were highest in demand with emerging hip-hop talent, singer-songwriters, rock bands, and electronic artists.

In 2004, Chicky fell in love with London and brought his New York-schooled-style overseas. He continues to collaborate with artists in the studio and mixing front of house for many acts such as Ben Waters, Charlie Watts, Ronnie Wood, Jools HollanD, Gambling HEarts, Look, Stranger!, Grace Jones, BEF (formerly Heaven 17), Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark (OMD), OneTwo (comprised of Paul Humphreys of OMD and Claudia Brücken of Propaganda ) Icelandic band Trabant , Patrissia, Skye Edwards (Morcheeba), Sam Sallon, Dana BoulÉ, Adam Green, Bess Cavendish, Natalia DiSario, David Frazier, The Cavaliers, Danny Valentine, Saint Jude, Amy Atchley, Barry Adamson and many more.

Chicky's roots began in acoustic and roots rock in austin, texas, but then began spreading into more adventurous areas, upon his arrival in new york, such as electronica, hip-hop, and even recording some well regarded classical (Orchestral as well as chamber and solo instrument) music. In london, much of his focus has been on highly melodic music of all types, including the genre bending acts the Aklamate and Edmund Squeeze.
